Day 1: Arrival – Negombo

On arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport, you will be transferred to your hotel in Negombo/Chilaw. Later, visit the sacred Munneswaram Temple, where Lord Rama, after defeating Ravana, felt burdened by Brahmahathi Dosham for killing a Brahmin. At this place, the dosham ceased to follow him, and he prayed to Lord Shiva, who blessed him and instructed him to install four lingams to be freed from the curse. You will then visit the Manavari Temple, where Lord Rama installed the first lingam, now revered as Ramalinga Swamy, making it a highly significant site in the Ramayana Trail. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Negombo/Chilaw.

Day 2: Negombo – Kandy

After breakfast at the hotel, proceed to Kandy with stops along the way. En route, visit the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, a renowned conservation and breeding centre for wild Asian elephants. According to the Ramayana, this is believed to be the place where Hanuman gathered his army before embarking on the search for Sita. Continue your journey through scenic tea country and stop at a Tea Plantation, where you can learn about the process of cultivating and producing Ceylon tea while enjoying the lush green landscapes. Day 5: Nuwara Eliya Exploration
